When we suffer from spiritual or physical trauma we can experience soul loss.
This is because when an individual is participating within a traumatic experience it is very common that the soul, which does not like to experience pain, will temporarily leave the body in order to protect itself.
There are times, however, when the soul returns but a piece of it is missing. Visualize the soul as a school of fish—it is made up of many parts of a whole—and requires it’s whole to be a properly functioning unit. When that school of fish scatters, some fish may become lost.
Sexual/emotional/physical abuse, acting against your true self, being victimized, natural disasters, accidents, surgery, addictions, fights with loved ones, heart break, death of loved ones, being frightened…
All of these situations can result in a piece of our soul fleeing the body and being unable or unwilling to return.
A soul part can also be given to someone that you love, or have a complicated relationship with, as well as taken or stolen by others. Most of the time both individuals don’t have the slightest clue that this exchange has occurred.
